Survival Tip # 2 - Try Nature

Nature soothes me. When I find myself fed up with the hustle and bustle  and the standardized schedule of daily life, I seek nature. Nature consoles and reassures. I could sit endlessly in the mountains, absorbing the natural beauty and listening to music- taking a break from the stresses and strife of daily life. I feel like appreciating nature is essential; especially in this time of great stress and despair. Its simplistic beauty works as a calming sight for sore eyes, especially in this time of social distancing and quarantine. We can find solace in nature.

The lone cawing of a raven breaks the stillness in the air. For me, this is peace. Rays of sunshine penetrate the dense pine foliage. A green glow warms my face as I look up in awe and amazement. Like a sponge, this warmth absorbs and whisks away my worries, stresses and anxieties stemming from daily life and the global pandemic at hand. For me, a day spent basking in the sunlight is a day well spent. For me, this is a perfect way to spend my #selfisolationsaturday.

Survival Tip # 1 - Read

Tip# Reading

25th April 2020

I spent my #selfisolationsaturday doing an activity I've always been passionate about, reading. To me it has proven itself to be an escape from the real world and under quarantine, a great way to distract myself. During normal school days I barely got any time to read, owing to the hectic schedule and workload associated with DP. Thus, in self-isolation, with ample time on my hands, I decided to take up this activity again.

Did you know that our Readings Online bookstore, in Lahore is still open and there is a Ramadan Sale on the 25th and 26th of April 2020.  What are you waiting for? Order  the book you've been wanting to read since a long time now.

And here's a link for those of us at TNS, who want to Read books online for free during lockdown.

Happy reading, TNS!
